Upper edge clip for Slim Easy

The upper edge clip for Slim Easy mechanically secures the outermost row of slabs on your patio and simultaneously serves as a stable support for side cladding. Made of solid V2A stainless steel (2,5 mm for 2 cm slabs / 1,5 mm for 3 cm slabs), it effectively prevents the edge slabs from slipping or tipping at exposed outer edges.

The SlimEasy upper edge clip is characterized by two main areas of application:

Securing the outermost row of plates

The outermost row of slabs is considered a critical area in any rail construction. As soon as an edge slab shifts, the stability of the entire terrace surface is compromised. The upper edge clip provides a solution here. mechanical lock, which eliminates this risk. The only alternative to mechanical securing with clips is gluing the edge plates with our hybrid adhesive in question.

Device for creating an edge closure

Besides providing security, the clip also serves as a guide for the lateral facing. There are two primary ways to do this:

First: Between the upper and the optional lower edge clip, hang a vertical end plate This allows for a uniform look and perfectly conceals even difficult slopes on the sides of the terrace. We offer suitable clips for both 2 cm and 3 cm thick slabs.

Secondly: Alternatively, hang the vertical one. Edge finishing system “Sideline” into the clip. These coated aluminum panels are available in heights of 6, 8, 10 and 12 cm.

Required tools

Installation is simple and safe, directly on the rail system. Follow these steps for optimal results:

1. Starting point: At the edges, two base profiles usually abut directly. The pedestals were cut at the bottom to position the base profiles as close to the edge as possible.
   
2. Mount the clip: Now place the Slim Easy upper edge clip in the designated position.
   
3. Attach joint plates: To ensure the correct tile spacing, install the joint plate. Then remove the two side joint tabs by manually snapping them off.
   
4. Put on the first record: Now place the first tile of the edge row onto the prepared structure.
   
5. Conclusion: Next, lay the remaining slabs to complete the edge finish.

Scope and system

This clip is specifically for the Slim Easy base joist Designed for use along house walls and on all external edges not secured by building-provided boundaries such as curbs or steel profiles, this clip is ideal. The "Sideline" aluminum edge trim system can also be attached to the clip.

Please note: The Slim Easy upper edge clip for 3cm panels is made of 1,5mm thick stainless steel. Therefore, additional bonding of the edge panels with our hybrid adhesive is absolutely necessary!

The delivery includes the upper edge clip made of solid V2A stainless steel, including the required mounting screw.

Planning notes / Material requirements

Attach the clips to each joint along the outer edge of the slabs. Pay particular attention to the corners of your patio: additional clips are required here to ensure the corner slabs remain stable and do not slip diagonally.
