Explanation of the system

In many construction situations, patio slabs abut directly against walls. Maintaining a permanent gap between the slab and the wall is essential, as any shifting of the slabs can compromise the entire structural integrity of the patio. Therefore, the edge trim clip acts as a smart buffer. It reliably keeps the slabs at a distance and simultaneously ensures a secure fit at the edges.

Installation: How to install the edge trim clip on pedestals

The installation is tool-free and can be carried out in just a few steps directly while laying the panels:

  1. Positioning pedestals: Position the pedestal directly at the edge. If you need a particularly small distance to the wall, you can simply trim the base of the pedestal beforehand.

  2. Place clip: Place the edge trim clip on the head of the pedestal. Then slide it until the outer part lightly touches the wall.
  3. Fix the plate: Place the patio slab onto the support. The clip will then automatically clamp and secure the slab.

Additionally, you can fix the clip to the pedestal support using our hybrid adhesive for a permanently immovable connection.

The installation on the Smart Wabic base module is carried out in the following steps:

  1. Attaching the clips
    Positioning of the edge clips on the Smart Wabic raised floor
  2. Screw in the clips.
    Screwing the edge trim clip onto the Smart Wabic raised floor
  3. Add the support pad and place the plate on top.

Scope and system

This clip is approved for use with a wide variety of pedestal support series. It fits perfectly on supports with a fixed head (2 mm and 4 mm joint) as well as on all self-leveling systems such as EasyPro or Professional. Furthermore, the clip performs important additional functions in raised floor systems: it secures drainage channels and ensures the precise edge distance of the finishing panels.

Delivery

You will receive the stainless steel edge trim clip as a single component to complement your raised floor or pedestal system.
When you purchase raised access floors with the edge trim clip, you automatically receive the correct number of flat head stainless steel screws (2 pieces per clip).

Planning notes / Material requirements

Plan for one clip for each pedestal support that stands directly against a wall or fixed edge. It's best to measure the total length of your wall connections to determine the exact number required.

Care / Maintenance

Due to the stainless steel used, this component is completely maintenance-free. We simply recommend occasionally cleaning the edge joints of coarse dirt to ensure optimal water drainage.

Removing the cover grate and screwing the base body of the gutter to the pedestal.
