The 20x20cm aluminum-laminated building protection pad offers specialized protection for your roof waterproofing and reliably prevents chemical reactions between the rubber granules and the substrate. Thanks to the integrated aluminum layer, you also save time during installation, as an additional separating layer of EPDM tape is no longer necessary.

Explanation of the system

This specialized building protection pad consists of high-quality rubber granules laminated on one side with an aluminum foil. This design solves a common problem in flat roof construction: the so-called plasticizer migration.

Many roof membranes (especially PVC membranes) are chemically incompatible with rubber materials. Without a separating layer, the roof membrane would become brittle. The aluminum lamination serves as a permanent separating layer in this case. Simply position the pad with the aluminum side facing down on the roof membrane. Then place the pedestal on the upper, softer (black) side.

Assembly: Step-by-step instructions

1. Cleaning: Thoroughly clean the surface of any stones or sharp residues.
2. orientation: Place the pad with the Aluminum side down directly onto the roof waterproofing.
3. Placement: Position the pad exactly where the pedestal or rail will later be located.
4. Construction: Position the pedestal support in the center of the rubber surface of the pad.
5. Control: Check that the structure is stable before assembling the next level of your substructure.

The pads are delivered as individual, ready-to-use laminated pads measuring 20x20cm. The quantity depends on your order or the configuration list.

Planning notes / Material requirements

This pad combines the functions of two products: structural protection and a separating layer. You need exactly one pad per pedestal or rail support point. An additional EPDM strip is not required.

Care / Maintenance

The product is completely maintenance-free and rot-proof. Once professionally installed, it protects your roof waterproofing for the entire lifespan of the terrace.
